Hi all I am Megan.
I am in Australia, am a Social Worker in private practice (well, I work my private practice around my blogging addiction) and am a mother to four children.
I blog as a way to raise consciousness about child protection and to give people the voice they need to put child safety high on public agendas. Our blog is part of our corporate website and operates against a safety talk forum. Our aim is to become the largest online child protection conversation in the world.
I am in the process of having a robust blog custom designed - the free shareware just isn't cutting it for me anymore. There are always little things going wrong and I spend far too much time trying to fix it.

I am thinking about building another blog, just not sure what I want the material to be. I have to give it more thought.
Oh, my blog is about Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I am writing up posts on my own experience and different types of tools, tips and materials that have helped me. I am also trying to create forms, brochures, etc., and hope it helps people. My goal is to write a book on my experience including tips, tools, etc.
I have meet many people on the Internet that suffer from the same thing. It is so sad. One thing I want to get across is that unless you have experienced a chronic illness, you truly cannot understand exactly what we feel. Educating the community, family and friends is so important. Well, I need to get off this soap box before I loose your interest.
I am also trying to figure out how to earn extra income because it is difficult living on disability. I tried going back to work and failed. It was very difficult for me to accept and it lowered my self-esteem. That is why I decided to create a blog. So I could feel useful and I could help people. So, I guess I am selfish because I wanted to help myself in the process.

My husband and I met at the U of M Ballroom Dance Club, and both of us have traveled a great deal (prior to the kid thing, of course). I spent a year in Africa, and some time in eastern Europe. Been pretty much all over Europe, actually ... my favorite countries (so far) were Spain and Poland.
My goal at present is to build up my "network" as a way to build the writer's "platform" that make publishers salivate. If any of you have ideas about how I can improve my sites, I'd be grateful for the feedback.

This is my second go at the whole marriage merry-go-round and I am finally finding out what it is like to be loved and cherished thanks to the English Toy Boy.
Due to my health problems I am unable to work any more so I spend quite a lot of time on the computer, reading, complaining and caring for the myriad of animals-that-had-no-home that I seem to have collected over the years.

Instead, I realized I wanted to write a I'm jinxed blog so I put that on instead, but then some people kept asking why my domain was so weird. So, I bought the blog its own domain name, but I still don't know what to do with the other domain...
So I just left it connected. They share the same database so they are 100% the same.
