His Image Ministry is very active locally in personal, whole-life development of all who we come into contact with.
More than the Average “church”, we have enacted a discipleship program to assist others in the growth of every area of their lives.
Discipleship is not an easy call to answer, either for the mentor or the disciple. In both cases, you must put selfish desires and personal preferences aside in order to interact with others on a familial plane.
Mentors have to be more than just teachers. From a heart of Love, mentors must minister to disciples with respect for the God in each person and take personal responsibility for the outcome in each disciples’ life.
Disciples must choose to present a teachable heart and trust God’s way of doing things, which is often much different than their own.
All are instructed by God to give their personal advantage up for others, so although giving your own advantage up for someone else seems difficult, when so many others are giving their advantage for you, the ultimate benefit is more gain than you ever could have had on your own. There is more of everything for all to receive.
Just as Jesus was the stone that the builders rejected who became the chief cornerstone, we recognize that there are priceless treasures inside every person. Sometimes these treasures are hidden in rejected people, and the treasures are hidden far deeper than in others. This also usually means these deeply hidden treasures are exceptional and will change the world for the Kingdom of God like no other. All are welcome to come and be a part of this powerful ministry and learn to incorporate the principles of Love, wisdom, and accountability in their lives. God makes no mistakes and no person that He has created is to be ignored, thrown away, or disregarded.
A focus at His Image Ministry is to help each person uncover and get to know the unique treasures inside of them and to draw them out so that each person is operating in the fullness of who God created them to be. There are often things in the way that need to be dug up and removed just as one world remove the earth and rock in order to retrieve a physical buried treasure. It is a joy to help others in removing the pain, guilt, sorrow, addictions, wrong thinking, and other stones that have buried the treasure within. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are willing to walk through the process step by step as every area of life is renewed and aligned with God’s will for each of our lives.
We also recognize that although everyone has the same call to minister the Kingdom of God to others, we are each uniquely gifted to fulfill that call differently. This is exciting because we never expect to produce clones of ourselves, but to enable our brothers and sisters in Christ to live in the fullness of the person that God created each of them to be! We know that God is not limited to what we have seen Him do in the past, but are excited to move on to the new things that He wants to do through us now and in the future.
Spiritual empowerment is definitely the foundation upon which all other empowerment stands, but it is also essential that we teach others how to increase in other areas of their lives as well. Discipleship includes teaching how to increase in personal, relationship, health, wellness, finance, and business areas of life, too. Almost every core member of His Image Ministry has their own business that is either supplemental or their chief source of income, and most began those businesses and have been assisted in many areas of growth in their business by other members of HIM. Our sincere desire is to be able to assist more people as they come in by teaching them how to build businesses that they can steward for the glory of the Kingdom of God. We want to succeed in every area of life, but when we reach the pinnacle of our success, we don’t want to be there alone! We intend to bring as many with us as are willing!!!
His Image Ministry is looking to do things that have never been done for the Kingdom of God! Won’t you come join us???
Umm... I'm just a dude whose life was radically changed by my best friend and Saviour. So, I try to live a life that is radical for Him serving in anyway that I can find. I blog to share what He is teaching me, and I teach a young adults ministry to challenge others to change their world for Him. If I had to sum it up...
From this day forward, I am a slave of Christ. I serve in the body, but also in the workplace.
