I tried Spam Karma 2, but couldn't get it to work with my theme. Back to the good old Akismet - yet lately I find stuff getting through that really shouldn't. Fortunately, I moderate every comment.

akismet basically kicks arse.

I have tried others and it just doesn't seem to do the same job.

i have been hit pretty heavily by comment spam in the last 6 months, but akismet catches about 99% and the rest are held in moderation till i delete em

I'm firmly in the SpamKarma camp. I like the idea of dealing with comments based on behavior rather than a central database of what other people think should not get through.

It really isn't difficult to make your theme compatible with SK, and it is more than worth the effort.

I am in the SK camp (though there is an annoying bug on WP2.2.1)
