I had a premium xbox 360 for a few months and oh boy was that good.
However I heard that the Wii is a lot more fund for a family and grand parents :-) so i'd probably want to go down that way.
The PS3 is just the best system available today in terms of gaming, but not the best gaming platform available today on the market for a family.
Hmm great response "Bobosse" But i have to disagree with the playstation 3 comment. As i owned a playstation 3 for 1 week before returning it for a full refund ($717.82c Retail FRYS ELECTRONIC 6GB+ HD Cable) i played all the demos and etc.. (F1 07, GT HD, R.F.O.M, MotorStrom) and i have to say compared to xbox 360 the ps3 has nothing good (Exclusive or non Exclusive) the Controller had no vibration compared to xbox 360 to give you that video game tension, nor did the "Tilt" do anything but turn left (in motorstrom demo) the online was very slow in finding my internet connection (Both wired and Wireless). It took PS3 1 hour to find my connection while it took xbox 360, 2 minutes (Both wired and Wireless) to connect to xbox live. I also found the playstation network, very dull and to my taste it lack commutation between users (even with the new 3d game "Home") the playstation 3 also had few miss introductions of its features like the "Playstaion 1 and Playstation 2" Memory card slots where not aviable unless you buy a connector and no where in the manual did it explain you need such add-on to use older memory cards. The one thing the really made me mad was the controller wire it is only 7-10 inches long and you must plug it in for few hours for it to charge, and the down fall of that would be that your playstation 3 must be "turned on" to charge it and you have to sit very close to the tv and mess up your eye sight (even with a 62 inch plasma 1080p,1080i support) overall the playstation 3 felt very dull and pointless to me for the price that it was released for (now $499 USD + Plus Tax) now if it did have a long cable like the Xbox 360 controller and it didn't heat so much, so fast the console would have lasted more than a month in my house but i just don't see, every buy my self another SONY Playstation platform, the only playstation platform i will ever buy will have to be the next Playstation Portable.
