A blog troll is a new word for me... it means troll like person who trawls you on blogs and forums.
(Trolls are generally stupid and abusive :) )
They can make your life unpleasant, but also bring negative publicity.
Tell us about it here, and how handled it?... read more

Yes. I ended up with a Troll last September or so. He came from my main website (not a blog) ... well rather the reptile related mailing list that is part of that website. He'd flamed on the mailing list once too often and I finally banned him so he came around and attacked my blog.
I let him have his say twice, replied as maturely as possible to his threats and bad mouthing and then I marked the rest of his comments spam. He eventually got the hint and as far as I know doesn't come around anymore. Not to comment anyway.
I run five mailing lists, fairly big ones with large memberships, and I've dealt with the occasional troll on the lists, but luckily only once on my blog.
wow,
Now that's a scary thought. I never had one or even heard of a troll. I guess there are alway plenty of yoyos and people who are just plain mean out there with nothing more important to do. That's such a shame.
