39. Purchase advertising in popular newsletters or ezines.
40. Advertise on other product’s “thank you†pages

Here is something which I would also love to share:
1. Submit your blog/ site to directories which are relevant to your business/ service
2. Go for a search engine optimization once in a week to stay ahead in search engines - remember your site might be left behind as visitors seldom go beyond the 5th search page
3. use keywords that are universal in nature and not too specific to what you are offering - 'coz what matters most is others finding you fast
4. As suggested above by my fellow bloggers reciprocal links/ backlinks too work out to be a mutually beneficial arrangement
Many Thanks!

Great tips, I use fastcreeper.com and hitsexchange.com, for reviews I use Linkrefferal, So far 13 positive reviews and only 2 negative for my website.
A very good way is using "meme" and tag, there are 2 technorati authority widgets on my blog, one had the meme and the other didn't.
Hi,
I think that search engine optimization (seo) is more useful.. promoting your site/blog is obviously not a bad thing to do. but if you choose the write keywords, description, etc, etc on your pages your site can bring traffic pretty easily.
On my blog (www.eBloggy.net) i don't promote or particapate in dozens of programs to get traffic, over 48% of my traffic is coming from search engines like Google.com just because of the content posted, people searching for what you write is necessary because then that person will get an idea of what they can expect you to post or offer them.
Just my 2 cents!

Bye dudes
I tend to think word-of-mouth is still the best promotion tool, but before that comes great content. Great content gets people talking and sharing your site with others.
